Matching Family Christmas Shirts

Characters every age in a household recognises, in sizes from toddler to adult.

A matching set has a harder brief than a single shirt. The character has to mean something to the youngest person in the photograph and the oldest, and it has to be available in toddler, youth and adult sizes at the same time, from the same design. The first requirement narrows the field to a small group of characters with genuinely universal recognition. The second is where most sets go wrong.

Licensed ranges are not always manufactured across the full size run, and a design that exists in adult sizes may have no toddler equivalent, or a different print on the children’s version. Before ordering for a group, confirm every size you need from the same listing, and order well ahead: individual sizes sell out during December, and a set is only as complete as its scarcest size.
