Who is Raven?
Raven was created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez as part of their 1980 revival of the Teen Titans, and she was the reason the team formed: a young empath and sorceress, daughter of a demon named Trigon, who gathers heroes to stop her father. In the comics she is grave and conflicted. Most Americans under thirty know a different version. The Teen Titans animated series of 2003 made her the dry, hooded voice of reason among louder teammates, and Tara Strong's flat delivery turned her into the show's most quoted member. Teen Titans Go!, which began in 2013, pushed the same traits into outright comedy and kept her in front of a new generation of children. Her incantation, Azarath Metrion Zinthos, is widely recognised on its own. The design is a dark blue or purple hooded cloak with a red gem on the forehead, which is almost entirely silhouette.

What Raven looks like on a shirt
Signature motif: Hooded dark cloak, red forehead gem
A hood with a red dot reads as the character at any size, which makes simple silhouette designs unusually effective. Deep blue and purple need a light or heather ground to show.
Hood-and-gem silhouettes work at any size. Animated-style designs suit youth sizing; the incantation text works for teens and adults.
